Feathers

A story that anyone who has suffered from trichotillomania can relate too, Feathers tells the tale of Trixy, a cockatoo who plucks her feathers out. As a result, Trixy experiences a range of emotions; from shame, embarrassment, and sadness to appreciation and self-acceptance. Written for anyone who has experienced trichotillomania, Feathers is especially for children, as it is easy to read. Author Renee Trachtenberg wrote and illustrated this touching story to help people of all ages (but especially children) overcome difficult feelings when dealing with trichotillomania.
