**Special Guest**:
Frank Edelblut, Commissioner of the NH Department of Education
When COVID-19 closed schools, some children struggled to adjust to remote instruction, with children with special needs, including children with disabilities, often experiencing the most significant challenges. Now, as children prepare for the new school year and (for most children) a return to in-person instruction, some need extra academic and/or social-emotional supports to be engaged learners. In this online chat, Commissioner of the NH Department of Education (DOE), Frank Edelblut, will provide you with information about the various options being offered by the NH DOE that is designed to support children’s academic and social-emotional learning. You will also have an opportunity to ask Commissioner Edelblut your questions (some questions parents have asked are: what are they, who is eligible, how can I know if one of these options will be a good fit for my child, and what if I try one and it does not meet my child’s needs?)
