As GLSEN was founded by a group of teachers in 1990, we knew that educators play key roles in creating affirming learning environments for LGBTQ youth. But as well as activating supportive educators, we believe in centering and uplifting student-led movements, which have powered initiatives like the Day of Silence, Ally Week, and more. They have authored developmentally appropriate resources for educators to use throughout their school community.
GLSEN offers a variety of resources for students and educators looking to create change in their communities. From lesson plans and professional development for educators, to organizing materials and leadership opportunities with GLSEN’s National Student Council and Chapter programs.
GLSEN New Hampshire is a chapter of GLSEN, a national organization fighting for every student’s right to a safe, supportive education.Find them on Facebook here.
