Granite State Independent Living is a statewide nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote quality of life with independence for people with disabilities. The organization is led by a board of directors and staff comprised of over 51% of people with disabilities. We offer services in the following areas:

GSIL helps New Hampshire’s underserved students with disabilities transition from high school to a more promising future. We can help your school build tailored solutions to meet each student’s unique needs, preferences, and interests.

Both our Earn and Learn Opportunities and IMPACCT programs are comprehensive programs that cover the five pre-employment transition services:

• Comprehensive Transition Program & Post-Secondary Education
• Workplace Readiness Training
• Instruction in Self-Advocacy

In-Home Personal Care Services

Granite State Independent Living’s (GSIL) In-Home Personal Care Services provide you peace of mind with compassionate caregivers that you and your loved one can rely on. With GSIL’s Personal Care Disability Services, you get to choose how your loved one’s care is managed. Having someone outside the family help with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders allows your loved one to maintain his or her sense of dignity and keep the details of health issues confidential while remaining sensitive to family relationships.

Transportation services include:

• Wheelchair Van Transportation
• Local Transit Travel Training
• Travel Reimbursement
• Non-emergency Medical Transportation
